Oral Exams and Checkups
If it’s your first visit with us, our normal oral examination includes a visual examination by our dentist, charting the shape and condition of your mouth and gently probing for periodontal disease. After a short exam, our dentist will explain his diagnosis and make treatment recommendations. We may also take X-rays, which include a panoramic X-ray for proper diagnosis of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth, as well as a bite-wing X-ray series to see any proximal decay of posterior teeth.
Brookwood’s Dental Services
Implants are synthetic structures that replace the root of the tooth. Implants are anchored to the jawbone or metal framework on the bone to act as a foundation for an artificial tooth, permanent bridge, or even dentures in some cases.
Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain or plastic cemented over the front of your teeth to change their color or shape instantly. It’s a quick and easy solution for teeth with uneven surfaces that are chipped, discolored, oddly shaped, unevenly spaced, or crooked.
Crowns and Bridges
Crowns are synthetic caps, usually made of a material like porcelain, placed on the top of a tooth to restore a tooth’s function and appearance following a restorative procedure such as a root canal. When decay in a tooth requires large portions of the tooth to be removed, crowns are often used to make the change invisible.
Whitening procedures can effectively restore your smile to its former brightness if your teeth have become stained, dull or discolored over time. Ask us about the different whitening treatments we offer!
Invisalign’s® invisible, removable and comfortable aligners will give you the beautiful, straight teeth you’ve always wanted. Invisalign is great for adults and teenagers. The best part is that no one can tell you’re wearing them!
Root Canal Therapy
Root canals are tiny passageways that branch off from beneath the top of the tooth, coursing their way vertically downward, until they reach the tip of the root. If they decay or become infected, they can damage your tooth and be very painful. We can help you repair the affected teeth with minimal discomfort.
Our goal is to help you to minimize the risk of emergency treatment. But when an emergency or accident occurs, you can rely on us for same-day treatment. Read more on our Emergency Dentistry page here.
