At Brookwood Dental Center, our mission statement is to give each of our patients the very highest standard of dental care in a warm, caring, and comfortable environment. We will work together as a professional dental and patient team to achieve a strong, healthy smile. Everyone in our Fenton office is dedicated to using the finest materials and up-to-date technology, making your care faster and more efficient while never sacrificing quality.

Your First Visit

Your first visit to our office establishes a foundation for our relationship with you in the future. During the first visit, we make sure to record important background information and medical history so we get to know you, and also give you time to get to know our dentists. If you have questions about directions to our office, our practice hours, payment policies, and more, you can call us directly to clarify anything before your visit and make you feel at ease.

We know that for many people, some anxiety before a dental appointment is normal. Some people feel nervous even when they have regular checkups, and sometimes it’s a little intimidating to come to a dentist if you haven’t visited one in a long time.

Focused on Making You Happy!

At Brookwood Dental Center, we’re focused on making you happy and confident, and don’t want you to feel judged or intimidated by anyone on our staff. If you still feel a bit anxious, that’s okay. We recommend talking to our team beforehand to answer any questions and get your new patient forms in advance so you can fill them out at home when it’s convenient. You can also review the other pages on our website to learn more about some of the treatments we offer.

Your first dental visit promises to be a pleasant experience! When you’re in our office, feel free to make a list of questions to ask our office so you don’t forget anything on the day of your appointment. This includes any concerns you have or any oral problems you’ve been experiencing. If you have dental insurance, remember to bring your insurance card with you.

Healthy Habits

Brushing is the most effective method for removing harmful plaque from your teeth and gums. Getting the debris off your teeth and gums in a timely manner prevents bacteria in the food you eat from turning into harmful, cavity-causing acids. Most dentists agree that brushing three times a day is the minimum, but if you use fluoride toothpaste in the morning and at night before bed, you can get away with not using toothpaste during the middle of the day.

A simple brushing with plain water or rinsing your mouth with water for 30 seconds after lunch will generally do the job. And don’t forget flossing! Many dentists believe that flossing is the single most important weapon against plaque. Daily flossing prevents cavities and periodontal disease, increases blood circulation in your gums, and removes debris that sticks to your teeth and gums.
